In order to ensure that classes and other educational and research activities can continue smoothly, please continue to pay close attention to thorough measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Regarding extracurricular activities from May onwards, we would like to inform you of the necessary procedures and points that students should take note of. Please cooperate in ensuring that extracurricular activities can be carried out safely, while fully understanding the requests and instructions of our university, the government, Tokyo Metropolitan Government, relevant local governments, etc.

? If you wish to implement a new extracurricular activity, please formulate infection prevention measures and submit an "Application for Extracurricular Activities."
? Even for extracurricular activities for which you have already obtained permission, please thoroughly adhere to the compliance requirements and infection prevention measures listed in the "Request for Extracurricular Activities".
? For off-campus activities, please submit the "Off-Campus Activities Notification Form." When participating in a tournament, please attach a document outline the tournament and the coronavirus infection prevention measures.

- The usage restriction level of the exercise facility will be changed from "Restriction Level 1" to "Restriction Level 0."
When using the facility, please be mindful of basic epidemic prevention measures such as avoiding the Three Cs, ventilating the area, wearing an appropriate mask except when exercising, and disinfecting your hands and equipment.

About future extracurricular activities

Priority measures to prevent the spread of the virus will be lifted for Tokyo on March 21, 2020, and will also be lifted for neighboring prefectures on the same day. Regarding revisions to compliance matters when conducting extracurricular activities

In consideration of the infection status of the new coronavirus in Tokyo, we will revise the rules to be observed when conducting extracurricular activities as follows. (We allow small groups to use the club room.)
Please continue to make every effort to prevent infection.
Rule 1: Avoid gathering in large numbers in small rooms such as club rooms at the university.
Observance 2 Always maintain social distance of 1 meter or more
Compliance 3: In principle, wear a non-woven mask
Compliance 4: Prepare disinfectant and disinfect your hands frequently.
Requirement 5: Ensure adequate ventilation indoors and avoid activities in closed spaces.
Compliance Item 6: Those who are unwell will not participate in or have any activities.
Rule 7: When using sports facilities, follow the activity guidelines (usage guidelines) established by the University.
Observance 8: Avoid eating and drinking with multiple people during and before and after the activity, especially eating and drinking that involves face-to-face conversation.

The state of emergency for Tokyo will be lifted on September 30, 2021, and the state of emergency for neighboring prefectures will also be lifted on the same day. Everyone's vaccinations are also progressing. Thanks for your cooperation.
However, compliance with COVID-19 prevention measures remains a requirement. The government has declared a state of emergency for the fourth time in Tokyo until August 22, 2021. Priority measures to prevent the spread of infection in neighboring prefectures will also be extended until the same date.
Please be sure to fully understand the requests and instructions of the government, Tokyo Metropolitan Government, relevant local governments, etc. when carrying out club activities. In that case, you will need to obtain permission in advance to carry out extracurricular activities based on the notice dated July 9th, "About Campus Life in Light of the Issuance of a State of Emergency Declaration." Regarding special permission for extracurricular activities

In accordance with the "Precautions for Campus Life Following the Declaration of a State of Emergency" issued on April 23, 2021, our university has instructed students to, in principle, prohibit and suspend all extracurricular activities, except for those that are essential, such as raising animals, and those approved by advisory Faculty Member.

Due to the declaration of a state of emergency in Tokyo and three other prefectures, our university will suspend club activities, except for remote activities, for the time being during the state of emergency. Our university has been gradually giving permission for extracurricular activities to be carried out this academic year, but in light of the recent spread of COVID-19, we will be adding the following items to the conditions for permission to carry out activities.
