The Chinese delegation awards Prof. Isao Ogiwara
with a token of their appreciation

On November 5, 2014, TUAT Fuchu Campus received a delegation of 65 students and administrators from China Agriculture University and Renmin University of China.

The delegation included Year 2 undergraduate students to Master's, professors and administrators as well as representatives from the Japan-China Friendship Center, who requested the visit at our university.

Our Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Isao Ogiwara welcomed the delegation with a warm speech, followed by special lectures, courtesy of Prof. Shiro Hatakeyama, Prof. Tadashi Hirasawa and Prof. Nobuhiro Takahashi.

Their lectures covered the following themes respectively:
- "Size-segregated Chemical Analysis of Aerosols in Okinawa and Comparison of Aerosol Chemical Compositions in China and Okinawa";
- "Generic Analyses for Enhancing Leaf Photosynthesis in Rice"; and
- "Search for Therapeutic Agents of Incurable Diseases".

The day was concluded with a tour of our state of the art Frontier Plant Factory to give a glimpse of how we successfully harvest blueberry all year round, and a visit to our Animal Medical Center to witness our advance medical treatment for animals and the technology and process used to analyze the health condition of animal patients.
