Graduate School of Engineering (Master Course, Doctoral Course, Professional Degree Course)

¡¡The Graduate School of Engineering at the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology was first established as the Graduate School of Engineering (master¡¯s course) in 1966. In 1989, with the establishment of a new doctoral course, the school was reorganized as the Graduate School of Engineering (master¡¯s course and doctoral course), bringing us to the present day. Since the school was first founded, we have been sending capable individuals out into the world who possess expertise in cutting-edge research and technological developments in their chosen fields of specialty, perform highly creative research in their fields, and engage in sustainably solving problems and research and development.

¡¡The mission of the Graduate School of Engineering is "to create new knowledge that will change the world". In order to create new knowledge that will change the world, unconventional research by researchers with originality is important. We also aim to develop graduates who can "create new knowledge that will change the world" through education by professors with originality. We will develop graduates who have fundamental knowledge and ethical standards regarding the natural sciences, acquire knowledge that can be used for cutting-edge research and technological development, and have the ability to set and solve problems as well as communicate with others.

¡¡TUAT's Graduate School of Engineering was be reorganized from 2023year, into a master's course and a doctor's course with six majors, based on the six departments of the Faculty of Engineering, so that they can be directly connected to education and research in advanced specialized fields. The department also offers a professional degree program in the Department of Industrial Technology and Innovation that cultivates human resources with immediate skills for industrial technology development, and a the Department of Joint Doctoral Program for Sustainability Research that was established jointly by the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, the University of Electro-Communications, and?TUAT to foster human resources with a doctoral degree in collaboration with the humanities and sciences. We are building a system that enables collaboration across disciplines in order to develop human resources who have not only advanced specialized skills but also a broad interdisciplinary perspective.
