On July 14, 2017, 30 outstanding Chinese high school students selected by the Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science(“SAKURA Exchange Program in Science”) visited TUAT with six supervisors. They visited both Koganei and Fuchu campuses to experience simulated class lectures and facility tours.
The “SAKURA Exchange Program in Science” is a project offered by Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) to enhance the exchange of youths in Asian countries and Japan who will play a crucial role in the future field of science and technology by facilitating short visits of competent Asian students to Japan.
The visiting students demonstrated high English communication capability, which is one of the requirements for the selection to take part in the “SAKURA Exchange Program in Science” by actively participating in the question-answer sessions in English with TUAT professors.
